It is possible to provide an invisible car glass repair to remove stars, bull's eyes and chips from your car windscreen. These minor damages can potentially restrict your vision.
Glass Chip Repair
Windscreens can easily be damaged by flying debris resulting in chips. The most common windscreen damages are
- Star breaks: series of short radial cracks coming off of the impact point, resembling a star
- Bull's eyes: damage to glass caused by a rock that is similar to a bull's eye crack
- Cracks: a single crack that can be covered with a quarter with an impact point
- Chips: damage to glass caused by a rock (or other object) that causes a small piece of glass to come off the windshield
Rain X Windshield Repair Kit
Rain‑X Windshield Repair Kit helps you minimize the appearance and stop the spread of chips and cracks in your windshield. It removes air from the break, fills it with durable resin and makes it even stronger than before. For best results, repairs should be made as soon as possible after the damage occurs and before the break is contaminated by dirt or water. The kit works best on round damage not more than one inch in diameter, and cracks not longer than 12 inches. It will not repair damage to more than one layer of glass.

Mirka’s glass sanding solution for removal of scratches on normal and tempered glass and for refurbishment of a glass surface within many business areas, like architectural, automotive and marine. Take sufficient time over each sanding step; it is all about giving each step enough time. Mirka does not recommend that this process is used on car front windshields because of the risk of optical refraction.
