The Gtechniq EXOv5 Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating is a high-quality ceramic car coating that combines extreme water repellency with deep gloss and long-lasting paint protection. EXOv5 forms a hard protective layer with strong hydrophobic and antistatic properties, causing water to bead powerfully off the paint and dirt to adhere less easily. The coating offers up to 2 years of protection and helps protect the car paint from water spots, road dirt, dust, UV radiation, road salt, and wash chemicals.

Extreme water beading and dirt repellent action

Gtechniq EXOv5 is especially known for its excellent water repellent properties. Water quickly forms compact droplets and easily runs off the treated surface. At the same time, the antistatic action ensures that dirt and dust particles adhere less easily to the paint. This keeps the car cleaner for longer and makes regular car washing and maintenance easier.

Up to 2 years of ceramic paint protection and high gloss finish

Unlike traditional car wax or paint sealant, EXOv5 forms a durable protective film that lasts 18 to 24 months. In addition to protection, the coating gives the car paint a particularly shiny, warm finish. The formula is resistant to UV radiation, road salt, road dirt, and wash chemicals. Thanks to the longer processing time, EXOv5 is also relatively easy and controlled to apply.

Use alone or over Crystal Serum Light and C1

EXOv5 can be used excellently as a standalone ceramic coating, but also performs exceptionally well as a hydrophobic top layer over Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light or C1 Crystal Lacquer. Crystal Serum Light provides additional hardness and chemical resistance, while EXOv5 adds water beading, dirt repellency, and smoothness. For maximum durability and paint protection, Gtechniq recommends combining EXOv5 with Crystal Serum Light.

How do you use Gtechniq EXOv5?

Ensure the car paint is completely clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Any swirls and paint defects should ideally be corrected beforehand. Degrease the paint with Gtechniq Panel Wipe and apply EXOv5 with a suitable applicator in overlapping motions to a small panel or up to half a large panel. Immediately remove the residue with a clean microfiber cloth and then use a second cloth to remove any streaks. Allow the coating to dry and cure for at least 12 hours and do not wash the car for at least one week.
