When used on the sensor mode the torch can be turned on by passing your hand in front of the torch (within 10cm) and can also be turned off the same way. This makes it ideal for tradesmen who have their hands full with tools, fixings etc, simply wave your hand to activate the torch, not having to put things down to turn it on.
