What is drywall filler? You can compare it to a kind of putty that you use to fill all seams and gaps. Drywall filler is more creamy compared to plaster and you can spread it out more easily. This gives you a tight finish.

How do I use plasterboard filler?

Ready-to-use drywall filler is very easy to use. Just follow the steps below.

1. Remove loose parts.
2. Drywall should be properly screwed down which means every 22 cm.
3. Make the substrate dry, clean and grease-free.
4. The mixing ratio is approx. 2 parts powder to 1 part water.
5. First measure the water and then sprinkle the required amount of powder into the container with water and stir well until a smooth, lump-free paste is formed.
6. Press drywall filler firmly into the seam with a putty knife.
7. Smooth with a wet putty knife.
8. Processing time for prepared paste (at 20°C): approx. 1 hour.
9. For thicker gypsum boards a second coat may be necessary.
10. Sand down if necessary after drying.
